Hoverboard spin trick

We’ll start with one of the easiest tricks to master ‘The Spin’ which is really easy and will definitely impress people who’ve never seen a hoverboard before. To do ‘The Spin’ all you have to do is tilt your left foot down and leave the right foot flat so the board spins Left and perform the same trick with the opposite foot to spin the other way.

#2 The One Foot Circle

hoverboard tricks one foot spin

This stunt requires a little more courage but it’s just as easy as ‘The Spin’ with some small adjustments, so just as you would performing the trick above.. tilt one foot in the direction you’re most comfortable spinning in, and place one foot on the wheel cover, you might have to find an easy way to place your feet like the one shown above.

#3 The Turnstyle (360-back-to-front)

360 hoverboard spin
This hoverboard trick is so cool and will always be one of the more advanced tricks to attempt, to do ‘The Turnstyle’ you need to have quick reactions and good judgement as you’ll essentially spin the board in a circle as you jump 180 degrees and land back on the board. If you started with the LED lights at the front they should now end up behind you.

#4 The Sitting Spin

sitting spin hoverboard trick
This stunt is for all the lazy people out there! Not really.. it’s quite difficult to get this trick right as you have to first sit down on the hoverboard (lengthways) with your bum placed on the foot sensor and your feet on the wheel protector you need to tilt sideways so you can start spinning.. Make sure you hold onto your knees!

#5 Hoverboard Handstand

hoverboard handstand trick

The hoverboard handstand is something of its own, we can’t really tell you how to do this trick unless you first of all.. know how to do a handstand. If you do then great as the only thing you’ll have to worry about is placing your hands on the hoverboard sensors quickly as you flip your legs into the air and balance. It’s hard to get this mix right so we don’t encourage anyone who doesn’t have experience performing a handstand.

#6 The Incredable Swirl

the incredible spin hoverboard trick

By far the coolest trick we’ve found so far! to perform this hoverboard trick you must take off one foot and place it behind you on the floor as you move the hand on the same side on-to the wheel cover, this will help you keep your balance as you edge your foot backwards or forwards to move in a circular style. As soon as you can spin in a circle raise your foot off the ground and point it outwards.

There are plenty of beginner-friendly hoverboard tricks that you can safely perform, such as:

  • Hovering: This is the most basic trick and simply involves keeping your balance on the board while hovering in one spot.
  • Turning: You can turn by gently leaning in the direction you want to go. To turn left, lean your body weight to the left, and vice versa for turning right.
  • Coasting: Once you get comfortable with balancing and turning, you can start coasting around on your hoverboard. This trick is simply moving forward or backward while staying balanced on the board.
  • Spinning: This trick involves spinning in a circle on your hoverboard. To do this, first, get into a low stance and then quickly shift your weight from one foot to the other.
  • Stopping: When you’re ready to stop, gently lean back on your heels to bring the board to a stop.

Some popular hoverboard tricks include:

  • 360: This trick involves spinning around in a complete circle. To do this, first, get into a low stance and then quickly shift your weight from one foot to the other.
  • Ollie: This trick is similar to skateboarding’s ollie trick and involves popping the board up into the air and then catching it again. To do this, first, get into a low stance and then quickly shift your weight from one foot to the other while simultaneously jumping off the ground.
  • Manuals: This trick is similar to skateboarding’s manual trick and involves balancing on just two wheels of the hoverboard. To do this, first, get into a low stance and then quickly shift your weight from one foot to the other while simultaneously lifting the front or back end of the board off the ground.

The sitting spin is a relatively safe hoverboard trick for kids to perform. However, as with any trick, it’s always important to practice first and be aware of your surroundings to make sure you don’t collide with anything or anyone.
